  1. This song is the masterpiece of all masterpieces.
  2. I would think this was better than the music in the movie, but when you see Dave Bowman, the song sounds calm, and doesn't quite get the effect right.
  3. I wasn't really convinced until I saw the flashing lights mellow out to match the smooth drum beat at about 7:01 ... Pretty incredible, that Pink Floyd. Pretty incredible, that Space Odyssey. (Really, it's one of my favorites. But the first and last half hour kinda confuse me.)
  4. But we can all agree, Pink FLoyd is fucking awesome.
  5. i want this as a screen saver
  6. by the way this song live at pompeii is the only thing better than the song itself
  7. lol awesome idea but this ones better - Get high, put this on your ipod, go outside in your winter clothes, walk down a snowy path listening to this and figure out the answer to your life

  10. lol @ thesekicks .
  11. (btw with "good point" i just meant the underwater imagery)
  12. Originally, Echoes had space themed lyrics, which Roger Waters changed because Floyd were being labeled as space rock.
  13. The song originally had planetary lyrics and was called Return to the Sons of Nothing Parts 1-24. The lyrics were later changed to what became Echoes.
  14. This is the best song ever
  15. get high, go outside on a perfect warm night, get headphones, go to the darkest place around, full screen it, turn this shit up, and figure out the answer to life, pink floyd IS the best band to ever live, imagine how it must have been to be Richard at his last moments, looking back at so much life that he lived...his life,...truley a work of art. your god bless
  16. yeah the song and the the last segment(jupiter and the great beyond) are exactly the same length
  17. lol, good point. but actually underwater and space have certain similarities in spirit. i think they do go together well, but with the song it's a totally different effect as in the original film.
  18. love the song love the movie but i dont think the two go together very well. I get underwater imagery from this song
  19. wow have to disagree
