    Nicholson is a classic Joker. Heath redefined his role. Nicholson made Joker seem extremely crazy after his acidic incident & his insanity was more COMICAL rather than cynical. Heath was just plain SCARY & was portrayed to truly be criminally insane. Heath's backstory helped to justify the Joker's insanity & in the end you can see that Ledger is a more serious yet action-packed Joker who gets a few ideas from Jack N's Joker. There's NO BETTER Joker. They're both equally awesome in their own way.

    I like both of them! I think that both Jokers are special, but in a different way! The joker of Nicholson was funniest(but also a criminal)...he wanted to be loved by people and rule the city as mayor...on the other side the joker played by Ledger was a totally psyhopat who wanted to make caos in a society and watch the entire city in panic! The only thing that they have in common is: kill the batman!

    both very good, but i'd choose Heath's Joker - much more realistic as a psychopath. scary, real, repulsive and yet fascinating. he even talked as if he really had problems with mouth. totally hypnotic. Nicholson is a walking legend, but this time IMO Ledger was simply better.

    I'd have to say Heath. Jack pulled more of a comic book role of The Joker where Heath went in the direction of a graphic novel which is my fortee. They both played the part very well but I'm gonna stick with Heath for this role. No one will ever do it that well again.
