   I also like a lot more bands from Europe than from North America but that has nothing to do with people being born any more musically adept over there, it's just more of a promoted culture in Europe than in North America. If I like an artist I really don't give a hoot where they come from. Also I'm a metal singer/songwriter and not just speaking out of my inexperienced ass :P I truly love and appreciate symphonic metal.

    that's interesting 666aedsidog because there have been American-born musicians/vocalists in Therion. I think the issue is more what's accepted and promoted in North America. I have a friend who has the most insane death metal band that musically blows everything else out of the water, but since they live in Calgary Alberta they will never get "out there" (unless they leave North America or at least come to Montreal).

    In America what works is the good marketing, and when you go live concert a lot bands don't even sound close to their recordings.I was lucky enough to go to a Therion concert in New York and they are just great.I have no words to explain how awesome their performance was great They gave it all on stage
