- If you are going to write in English, at least learn how to do it properly. You are making no sense you peanut. Although anyone who thinks Lillee was a chucker is beyond help anyway
- At the same time I think the speed guns measure the speed of the ball towards the gun. Hence the apparent lack of speed for shorter balls. I've seen akthar ball a 131k bouncer which wet past the bat much quicker than a good length 148k one. I know the ball looses around 10% of it's pace as soon as it hits the wicket. (Like you said taller men loose more and shorter men.) Look at the clip on youtube of mohommed sami bowling at 162k (unofficial) at dravid. It looks faster than akthars 162k.

- is that release speed or average speed over the 22 yards? or speed at batters end? I think to the eye lee,tait,malinga,sami and akthar at their fastest looks way faster than this.
- I noticed they bowled 8 balls because they were 8 ball overs back then. It was also an accuracy test which Thommo won too (maybe some luck involved here). Unfortunately this was after his big shoulder injury when he lost a bit a pace.
- Great entertainment but just remember that this was filmed during the off season, most of these guys hadn't played in months and were nowhere near match fitness, if they had bowled wide rubbish like this in a Test Match they would have gone for 20 an over.

- Are you insane? Lillee has one of the cleanest actions ever seen. And I haven't denied that Imran, Wasim and Waqar are great fast bowlers. Their stats speak for themselves, I guess. "us pakistanies invented in swing,out swing" Well if that's the case, which game were men like Trueman and Alan Davidson playing? Don't be a toad in a well and look, for a change, at things outside of Pakistan as well.

- Why are you so jealous? Yes, Imran was a great bowler, but never the fastest. And motherfucker, don't you dare call Lillee a chucker. He is one of the finest pace bowlers ever and with a beautiful, legitimate action. Richie Benaud knows more about ths game than most people too. Pakistan can do without one-eyed supporters like yourself. They have enough talent to hold their own.

- At his peak, he must've been bowling 93mph or so. The thing with Donald is he bowled around 90-93mph against every batsman apart from Mike Atherton. He bowled around 200mph against Athers! Ha ha ha. I saw Steyn hit 150kmph against the Aussies a couple of days back so 95mph makes sense. He isn't at peak yet either!
- how quick was allan donald when he was at his peak? he looks to have been bowling around 140kph. dale steyn's quickest ball was recorded at 95mph in 2007
- Brett Lee at his peak bowled very high 90mph, he's had a couple of 160kmph+ recorded too. Steyn & Tait won't be in peak physical condition for a couple of years but I've seen Steyn deliveries clock 93 & 94mph and Tait during his magical domestic year of 2004/05 must've been clocking 150kmph on regular occassion. He's hit 160kmph before. Tait needs to fix that crappy action before he can bowl a whole season at full pace without suffering injuries.
- Ha ha. In fairness to them, neither were bowling how they do in matches. Michael Holding being the most notable, Roberts too to an extent. I think it's safe to add a few miles per hour to the deliveries recorded in this competition. Look at Holding's over against Boycott in 1981. If that's only 140kmph, bowlers nowadays must bowl at 120! Lol.

- was the speed maesured as the release speed or the speed when the ball pitched or what? someone told me that here it was calculated as the speed at which the ball passed the stumps, but watching the video, it appears to be the release speed.
- i dunno about that. how about brett lee, dale steyn, shane bond, shaun tait, allan donald etc. also wasim akram wasn't that quick, relying on swing and a perfect yorker rather than sheer pace.

- Tait is quicker than lee hands down now, Lee is aging a bit, although he has now adopted line and length over speed
- All these bowlers were frighteningly quick on their day. Nowadays I would have to say Brett Lee would be consistently quicker. A couple of years ago in NZ he put one through at 161kmph. I thought that Shaun Tait may have been quicker than Lee?
- Apparently Thomson was recorded at 160.45km/h in a test.
- roberts,lillee, thomson and holding?? one day of speed testing will never amount to the the terror these guys created. Clive Lloyd says that Thommo is the fastest bowler he has ever seen....and he should know.
- these guys are the fastest and scariest of all time, imagine facing any of these bowlers with shitty pads no helmet and a piece of willow.. bowlers now days have all the technology to help them improve so they should be bowling much faster and have better accuracy.. it doesnt matter where the fuck they come from..
