    just a little point, if Tyson was in his prime, and you were close enough to take him down you were also close enough to get knocked the fuck out, and if he knocked out the biggest guys with the biggest padded gloves imagine a shot from a young Tyson with 4oz gloves....broken ribs broken face.. give him some take down defence and that "punchers chance" would take on a whole new meaning.

Also, boxers have the most padded gloves so it could not be more dangerous than MMA. Mike Tyson would be taken down and submitted before 60 seconds. He's trying to stress that many MMA's, instead of specializing in their sport and creating formiddable attributes in another, their progress is hindered by little traits of Muay Thai, some Boxing, some Jiu-Jitsu. Also, many fighters train to fight a style, and not the guy. On the pre-fight shit-talks you'll hear "I've really been training my striking because he's a lethal striker."
