  1. His glance at Eddie beginning at 5:40 and Eddie's reaction is priceless.
  2. Deceptively and deeply inventive. On a par with Monk in that regard. And more versatile (pace Theo). To have it end at 56 is such a shame.
  3. I dont have to go to the symphony this year. This has everything and better! Wow
  4. Amazing, thanks sooo much for posting!
  5. I think you are right. In some of the sustained notes, I hear the pitch waivering. There's no way they would have had a piano this wonky for a live televised performance.
  6. Unbelievable harmonics: the Claude Debussy Jazz Trio.
  7. The best jazz pianist ever.......Thanks for posting
  8. Creative genius!
  9. It's pointless to compare Garner with any other pianist. His "Concert by the Sea" is the most remarkable and brilliant performance ever recorded on piano - every item is a masterpiece.
  10. as far as i know garner and peterson never played together, thats a shame. nobody swings better than garner... if he was alive today, he would give every great modern jazz player a run for their money
  11. Erroll Is very well known :) if you play piano = you know him. at least i think so. i played his stuff in primary school (very simple versions ofcurs) But... Ye he is well known lol
  12. WOW. the man who posted this peace need a reward. this is ........... awsome.... just listen 4;30 to 4;50. Genius music, incredible sound ... harmony .. everything, unbelievable... good job, really !!!
  13. Erroll. It just does not get better than him. I always go to Erroll and Bill Evans...their playing is just so full of all that makes me feel great. No one swung harder than Erroll, though...and his intros are a world unto themselves.
  14. so is yours wannabe intellectual
  15. Errr, grammar.
  16. The piano he's playing is not out of tune. I find it hilarious that your spelling and garammar is appalling.
  17. Great how he starts Lover as Laura to fool the band. The Base man got the joke.
  18. @2:07 here busts out into the open and into the tune proper. What a grat left hand. Con muy respecto, RIP Mr. Garner
  19. not bad for a guy who never took a piano lesson and can't read music
